Privacy Policy

Last Updated: January 20, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the browser extensions and software applications (collectively, the "Services") developed by TrustPlugins (including Sonicwave, ChromeTrack, GoCapture, and TubeTunnel).

We respect your privacy. Our fundamental principle is simple: We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. Our applications are designed to process all data locally on your device.

2. Data Collection and Usage

We do not transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) or user content to external servers.

  • Local Processing: All core functionality (such as audio equalization, screen recording, or time tracking) occurs strictly within your browser environment.
  • No Accounts Required: You do not need to create an account or login to use our extensions.
  • No Tracking: We do not track your browsing history, search queries, or behavior across websites.

3. Permissions and Technical Access

To function correctly, our extensions require specific permissions. These are used solely for functionality and never for surveillance.

  • Storage (storage): We use the Chrome Storage API to save your settings locally (e.g., your preferred equalizer preset, dark mode preference, or timer configuration). This data never leaves your browser.
  • Audio Capture (tabCapture): (For Sonicwave): We access the audio stream of the active tab strictly to apply audio effects (EQ, bass boost). This stream is processed in real-time RAM and is never recorded or transmitted.
  • Screen/Tab Capture: (For GoCapture): We access the video stream only when you explicitly click "Record." The resulting file is generated locally on your machine.
  • Host Permissions: We may require access to current websites to modify the DOM (e.g., for TubeTunnel to hide elements). This is done via local scripts.

4. Third-Party Services

Our extensions generally do not use third-party analytics services that track individual users.

If an extension contains links to external websites (e.g., a donation page or support form), those sites are not governed by this policy.

5. Data Security

Because we do not collect user data, there is no data repository for us to secure or for hackers to steal. Your settings and data reside entirely on your local machine and are subject to your own device's security protocols.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or regulatory requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page, and significant updates will be communicated via the extension's update notes.
